Synopsis

Gabbar the much awaited action thriller from the VMP stable starring Akshay Kumar and Shruti Hassan, directed by Krish is slated to release on 23rd January 2015 (Republic Day weekend). It is an official remake of the 2002 critically and commercially successful Tamil A. R. Murugadoss film Ramana, starring Vijaykanth in the lead. The original was remade in Telugu as Tagore with Chiranjeevi in the lead and then in Kannada as Vishnu Sena with Vishnuvardhan in the lead role. 'Gabbar revolves around Gabbar'Singh Rajput (Akshay Kumar) who creates his own vigilante military network called the Anti-Corruption Force (ACF) that eliminates the most corrupt individuals, from all walks of life, in a systematic manner.
